During Scary Prairie 2026, the park transforms by day into a colourful Halloween world full of shows, thrilling experiences and entertainment for the whole family. Fun frights at Scary Prairie
Scary Prairie is the family-friendly Halloween event at Attractiepark Slagharen. Unlike the scary horror nights of Western Nightmares, the daytime is all about fun frights.
The park is decorated with pumpkins and Halloween decorations, and you'll come across quirky characters everywhere. Of course, you can also enjoy Slagharen's well-known rides in between.
Jackie de Coyote: De Zoete Wraak
Jackie de Coyote plays a key role at Scary Prairie this year. In the show Jackie de Coyote: De Zoete Wraak, Jackie loses her special Coyote Lolly.
Together with Randy & Rosie, she sets off in search of the missing sweet. But will they manage to find the lolly again?

Crows Nest and The Manor
Fancy something a bit scarier during Scary Prairie? Then pay a visit to the walkthroughs Crows Nest and The Manor.
In Crows Nest you'll meet the scarecrows Billie, Bowie and Buddie. Together you try to outwit a cheeky crow and find your way back to the exit.
The Manor also returns for Halloween 2026. The peculiar Bones family has lived in this old manor house for more than 150 years. Father Bones takes you through the house, while other family members may pop up unexpectedly in the various rooms.
You need a separate ticket for both walkthroughs. These tickets are available from the Slagharen webshop.
Halloween Parade
At the end of the day, various Halloween characters come together for the Halloween Parade.
Randy & Rosie, the Red Bandits and other residents of Scary Prairie, among others, parade along Main Street. A lovely end to a day full of Halloween fun!

When is Scary Prairie 2026?
In 2026, Scary Prairie takes place on 10 October, from 12 to 25 October inclusive and on 31 October.
An admission ticket for Attractiepark Slagharen costs from €22.40 per person. Coming by car? Then you'll also need a parking ticket. Parking costs €12.50 per car. If you buy your parking ticket online in advance, you'll get €1 off.
