Fairytale musical with K3
Last May, the fairytale musical Sleeping Beauty premiered at the Studio 100 Theater in Plopsaland De PanneIn this revamped version, the ladies of K3 play the roles of the three good fairies. We attended the show and will tell you everything you need to know.
Tickets and packages
Those wishing to attend the musical should take into account that admission to the performance Not included is with a regular ticket for Plopsaland Belgium or with a Plopsa subscription.

The foyer of the Studio 100 Theater
The show is being performed at the Studio 100 Theater. You can already get fully into the atmosphere in the foyer.

The Story of Sleeping Beauty
The story follows the well-known fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty. The entire kingdom is celebrating, because a little princess has been born . During the birth celebration, the three good fairies express their wishes for the child, but the party is rudely interrupted by the arrival of the wicked fairy.
She pronounces a curse: on her eighteenth birthday, Sleeping Beauty will prick herself on a spinning wheel and die not long after. Can the three good fairies stop the curse in time?
What did we think?
The musical features a strong cast, including Diede van den Heuvel in the lead role as Sleeping Beauty and Manu Van Acker and Free Souffriau as her parents. The show is full of cheerful songs, humor, and surprising effects. As a result, the show is not only fun for children but also for adults.
We had to laugh out loud several times. As far as we are concerned, this musical is absolutely highly recommended for families and for anyone who has nostalgic feelings for the original production of this show.

A revamped version of a Studio 100 classic
More than twenty years ago, the original K3 lineup already performed in Sleeping Beauty . This new version has been adapted to modern times. The show has been made slightly shorter and faster-paced , and some details have been changed.
Personally, we did not find those adjustments bothersome. In fact, this version really does justice to the original.
Good to know!
Since Saturday, May 23, Marthe has been temporarily replaced by former K3 member Klaasje Meijer . She is temporarily taking over the role due to Marthe's maternity leave. For many K3 fans, this gives the show an extra special touch.
