Here's what to experience in Huyverwoud
New themed area opening
31 October will be a big day for Efteling. Not only does the park's newest attraction, Danse Macabre, open that day, but the Het Huyverwoud themed area opens too. So what is there to experience?
Abdijplein
The Abdijplein is the heart of the Huyverwoud, where everything comes together. From here you can begin the queue journey to Danse Macabre, grab a tasty treat at ‘t Koetshuys or hunt for the finest souvenirs at Dr. Charlatans kwalycke zaken. There's always something going on at the Abdijplein!
In den Swarte Kat
In this former tavern, the Charlatans have opened a grocer's shop. As well as various drinks, lunch dishes and salads, you can also buy abbey bread and herbal juices here. In den Swarte Kat has self-service checkouts where you can pay yourself.
De Laetste Hoop toilet block
Behind In den Swarte Kat you'll find the De Laetste Hoop toilet block. It also has an accessible toilet and a baby changing area. This centrally located toilet block could well be the most thrilling toilet visit of your life.
Accessibility
The Huyverwoud area is also accessible to visitors with disabilities. The Danse Macabre attraction offers a special experience for people who can't get on or off the ride unaided.
Family-friendly
The area can be enjoyed by the whole family. Danse Macabre is open to visitors from 1.20 metres tall. For the little ones, there's still plenty to discover in the Huyverwoud area.

‘t Koetshuys & Dr. Charlatans Kwalycke zaken.
The former Koetshuys sells all sorts of sweet treats, such as candyfloss and popcorn. After riding Danse Macabre, you'll end up in Dr. Charlatans kwalycke zaken, a shop selling a range of souvenirs.
