Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
“Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop” is an exciting attraction in Toy Story Playland at Disney Adventure World in Disneyland Paris. This attraction gives visitors of all ages the chance to experience what it’s like to be a parachutist in the army of toy soldiers from the much-loved Pixar film “Toy Story”.
The Concept
Inspired by the little green plastic toy soldiers from “Toy Story”, “Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop” simulates a parachute jump just as the toy soldiers would carry it out. Visitors climb aboard their own ‘parachute’ and are slowly hoisted to the top of a tall tower, before descending again in a controlled free fall.
The Experience
The ride begins when guests step into the seats attached to parachutes. Once safely strapped in, they are slowly winched upwards while enjoying an ever-widening view over the park. On reaching the highest point, riders experience several thrilling ‘drops’ that mimic the sensation of parachuting. The ride is exciting yet gentle enough for younger visitors, making it a fantastic family attraction.
