Tell a Fairy Tale Day
Once upon a time… there was a day for reading a fairy tale aloud! Because yes, 26 February is the perfect day to read a fairy tale to someone. Or simply to enjoy one yourself, of course – that's allowed too.
Spoilt for choice? We're here to help! Here are some top books you can read on this wonderful day.

Danse Macabre
This book may not begin with “Once upon a time…”, but it is the most recent Efteling book and so deserves a spotlight in this list. It's based on the newest attraction and lets you uncover the thrilling story behind it. Because what exactly is that Unnameable…?
You can buy Danse Macabre in the Efteling souvenir shops Dr. Charlatans Kwalijke Zaken, De Marskramer and Efteldingen, but it's also available online.
Efteling Fairy Tale Book
This three-part book series tells all of Efteling's fairy tales. Volume 1 focuses mainly on the oldest fairy tales in the Sprookjesbos, while the following volumes also cover fairy tales outside the forest, such as Holle Bolle Gijs and the Town Musicians of Bremen.
These fairy tale books are ideal for reading aloud and, once again, are on sale at various souvenir shops in Efteling, but they're also available online.

Jokie en Jet
Reading to a slightly younger audience? Then the Jokie en Jet books are ideal! In these little books, each with its own theme, Jokie and Jet discover the world and go on adventures.
These books are available exclusively at Efteling, in Jokies Wereld, De Marskramer and, in limited numbers, at Efteldingen.
De Sprookjessprokkelaar
Did you know that a mysterious figure lives in the Sprookjesbos? He gathers branches and twigs and listens to the captured stories carried along by the wind.
This book series tells the story of this exceptionally friendly Efteling resident, and the other book is a collection of short stories written by “ordinary people”. A playful initiative by Efteling to get people reading together.
Buy this book at Efteling or online and enjoy a good read!
