Battle of the Coasters!
Because which roller coaster is statistically the best? And although this is of course a subjective matter, we'll run through them with you!

6 - Max & Moritz
Efteling's newest roller coaster, but statistically in last place. These two powered coasters from the German manufacturer Mack Rides are themed around the well-known German story Max & Moritz. In soapbox carts, you escape from a cuckoo clock workshop and race through an Alpine landscape.
Although the music is very catchy, this coaster otherwise offers little in the way of thrills. Oh, and a tip from us: if you have to choose, go for Max (the blue track). Thank us later.
5 - Vogelrok
This is a sensitive subject among Efteling fans, as this coaster holds a special place in many people's hearts. However, Vogelrok's glory days seem to be behind it. Efteling has been negligent when it comes to keeping the effects working, which detracts from the overall experience of the ride.
That aside, the track itself is a really fun family coaster with surprisingly strong G-forces. And not forgetting, of course, the iconic soundtrack by Ruud Bos.

4 - De Python
The classic of classics! In its opening year, the Python was record-breaking and hugely innovative. Sadly, the ravages of time have caught up with this coaster, and this piece of craftsmanship now relies on its nostalgia.
Nevertheless, this coaster has everything a good thrill coaster should have: speed, inversions, airtime and good G-forces.
3 - Joris en de Draak
We've reached the top 3! And honestly, they're all incredibly close. So our final advice is simply to ride them all. The reason Joris en de Draak is in third place is its condition.
As time goes by, Joris is getting a bit older too. This is being addressed with a steel track, which does take away some of the charm.
Otherwise, this coaster is a real winner that relies mainly on its speed. And as an added bonus: it's a racer, making it unique in Europe.

2 - Baron 1898
Kompels! As well as being an awesome thrill coaster, this stylish roller coaster is a feast for the eyes. With its majestic shaft tower and the interaction with the bench sitters, this coaster is a true piece of craftsmanship.
With a Dive Coaster, it's all about the first drop, and this one is beautifully staged. Amid sounds and a visual spectacle, you plunge into the mine, after which the elements follow in quick succession. And that's also its only downside: the coaster is a bit short.
1 - De Vliegende Hollander
This roller coaster has it all in one! A dark ride, a free fall, a coaster and a splash! That makes it unique and one of the favourites among many international visitors, for the simple reason that there's little else like it.
And although the coaster itself can't compete with the ones mentioned above, as far as we're concerned it's the complete package that counts. And that's exactly the strength of many Efteling attractions.
Do you agree with our list?
Or do you swear by a different coaster? The moral of the story: everyone has their own preferences.
