Prinses op de Erwt
Once upon a time, in a little pavilion on the edge of the Fairy Tale Forest, there was a princess who simply couldn't sleep because of a pea hidden under 20 mattresses.
The story
The Princess and the Pea is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It tells the story of a prince who falls head over heels in love with a girl, but it's hard to tell whether she is of noble blood.
To find out, a pea is hidden under a pile of mattresses. After all, only real princesses are so sensitive that they can feel a pea beneath a stack of 20 mattresses.

Efteling Grand Hotel
This fairy tale was opened especially at the entrance from the Efteling Grand Hotel to the theme park. The hotel serves as the backdrop for the fairy tale, representing the palace of the king and queen.

Unique
Another unique thing about this fairy tale is that the story is sung. It's the first time Efteling has chosen to tell a fairy tale this way.
