What's new at Efteling in 2025?
The new theme park season is just around the corner, and once again Efteling is pulling out all the stops. From a brand-new fairy tale to an impressive hotel and a revamped scene in De Vliegende Hollander, 2025 promises to be a magical year. In this blog we've rounded up all of Efteling's new additions for 2025 for you.
New fairy tale: De Prinses op de Erwt
The Sprookjesbos is getting another classic! In spring 2025, Efteling opens the fairy tale of De Prinses op de Erwt (The Princess and the Pea). In this tale, a princess simply can't get to sleep… all because of one tiny pea under a tower of mattresses. What's more, this new addition is the exclusive entrance for guests of the new hotel.
Opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel
The main entrance of Efteling has been a building site for quite some time now, and that's all down to the arrival of the Efteling Grand Hotel. This brand-new hotel opens on 1 August 2025, letting you stay overnight right in the heart of Efteling with views over the park.
Eiland van de 5 Zintuigen is being renewed
The rest of the entrance area is getting a makeover too. The car park and the entrance square are already almost unrecognisable. A gently flowing blend of water features and nature will soon provide a warm and atmospheric welcome. Phase 1 will be completed before the peak season, after which work on phase 2 will start in the low season.
Rebranding: Efteling Wonder Hotel
The well-known Efteling Hotel by the motorway is also being rebranded. From its reopening, the hotel will continue under the name Efteling Wonder Hotel. The familiar castle in the air stays, but with a fresh new look. Would you like to stay here?
New scene in De Vliegende Hollander
Efteling isn't standing still on the attractions front either. From 18 April, De Vliegende Hollander will be extended with a brand-new scene. Visitors end up in the hull of the ghost ship, where fire flares up around you as you hopefully escape the curse of Willem van der Decken just in time. Exciting!
New snacks & seasonal dishes
There's plenty to treat yourself to again this season! There are new floats, a mix of soft drink and soft-serve ice cream, and delicious seasonal pancakes at Polles Keuken. The baker at Bäckerei Krümel has been busy too, as the range has been expanded with tasty new snacks. Time to tuck in!
Entertainment: final year of Raveleijn & new acts
It's official: Raveleijn is entering its final year as a park show in its current form. Are you a fan? Then this is your last chance to enjoy the adventure of the five brave riders.
There's plenty happening in street entertainment too. Grim monks have been spotted in the Huyverwoud, there are rumours of a new show called “Een Avond met Ezel” in the Sprookjesbos open-air theatre, and auditions are in full swing for new summer acts.
