Visiting Efteling in a wheelchair
If you use a wheelchair, you can still have a fantastic day at Efteling. The park is very wheelchair-friendly, with wheelchair entrances at many attractions or attractions that are wheelchair accessible. Want to know how accessible Efteling is in a wheelchair? Then read on!
Parking
If you're coming to the park by car, it's handy to be able to park close to the entrance. If you hold a European Disabled Parking Card, you can use the parking spaces at the front of the car park. These are specially reserved for this purpose.
Let one of the parking attendants know when you arrive, and they'll direct you to the right spot. Please note! You will still need a parking ticket.

Borrowing a wheelchair
If you don't have your own wheelchair, you can borrow one or hire a mobility scooter. It's a good idea to reserve a wheelchair in advance. You can do this up to one day beforehand, and you can collect the wheelchair from the wheelchair hire at the main entrance.
Would you rather get around the park on a mobility scooter? These are available to hire. Booking is essential if you want to hire a mobility scooter. Show your facilities card on the day of your visit and collect the mobility scooter from the wheelchair hire. You'll need to pay straight away when you collect the scooter.
Attractions
Almost all attractions at Efteling are wheelchair accessible. You can often enter in a wheelchair through the regular entrance or reach the attraction via the exit. Some attractions have a separate entrance for wheelchair users. At certain attractions you may need to transfer, but this is no problem.
There are a few exceptions, however. The boats at De Zes Zwanen are not accessible to wheelchair users because of the evacuation procedure. The Monorail is also not wheelchair accessible, as visitors may have to be evacuated using ladders.
Special attractions
There are two attractions in the park that aren't wheelchair accessible but do offer an adapted version for those who can't ride them. Droomvlucht, for example, has created the virtual Droomvlucht so that you can still experience the attraction.
Villa Volta also offers an alternative experience. After the first two pre-shows, there's a separate film screening for people with disabilities, so they can still soak up the atmosphere of the attraction without actually going on it.
