The Efteling's oldesssst roller coaster!
The Python is the oldest and best-known roller coaster at the Efteling. The Python opened in 1981 and is still hugely popular to this day. In 2018 the Python was completely rebuilt so it can keep going for years to come. A few years ago I made a video about the reopening of the Python, which you can find here. You'll find the Python in Ruigrijk.
Practical information:
At Python Pietje you can check whether you're tall enough for the ride. The Python closes during heavy rain, thunderstorms or snowfall. There's also a special queue for guests with disabilities at the ride's exit. Simply walk up via the exit and take a seat on the chairs. A member of staff will come and fetch you.
Have fun!
Completely new
In 2018 the Efteling tore down (almost) the entire Python and rebuilt it from scratch, so the coaster can keep going for many more years! I was at the reopening and was lucky enough to be one of the very first people to ride Python 2.0. It was brilliant!
