From April 2027, Bobbejaanland is opening a Nickelodeon themed area, just behind the entrance on the site of the current children's area. The area centres on SpongeBob and his friends from Bikini Bottom, and on Garfield. At around 15 million euros, it is one of the biggest investments in the park's history.

Three new rides
Splash Down: a Zamperla water ride in which 20 riders in a gondola are lifted high into the air before plunging into a pool of water. This creates a wave up to 10 metres high, which onlookers get to enjoy too. SpongeBob is hosting a diving contest in which Larry the Lobster takes on volunteers.
Garfield’s Birthday Surprise: a 15-metre drop tower. Odie and Jon have hidden a giant birthday cake at the top of the tower, and you help Garfield get hold of it.
Plankton Power: a wild swing for 18 people that soars up to 12 metres high. Plankton wants to take over the world with a machine powered by a tank full of jellyfish.

What's changing?
There will also be a food outlet, Yum Yum Go!, a souvenir shop selling Nickelodeon merchandise, a water play area themed to Sandy, photo spots and a place to meet the characters. The Kettingmolen is moving to another spot in the park and the Flying Orca is disappearing.
