Visiting Efteling for the first time
There's plenty to do at Efteling, but what if you're visiting this fairy-tale park for the first time? In this blog we'll take you through the attractions and must-sees you really shouldn't miss.
The Sprookjesbos
On your first visit to the park, the Sprookjesbos is an absolute must. Visit the fairy tales where it all began, such as Doornroosje, Vrouw Holle and De Chinese Nachtegaal.
If you still can't get enough of the fairy tales afterwards, you can always pop into In den Ouden Marskramer for a fairy-tale book.

Dark rides
One of the attractions you definitely shouldn't miss is Droomvlucht. This classic takes you on an enchanting journey among fairies and trolls.
Fairies not quite your thing, or fancy another dark ride? Then head to Symbolica, one of the newer dark rides in the park. Take a guided tour of the palace and admire all the details the castle has to offer.
Roller coasters
Efteling may be known for its fairy-tale atmosphere, but the roller coasters certainly shouldn't be overlooked. Want to experience a fully themed roller coaster?
Then take a ride on De Vliegende Hollander. One of the scenes was recently refurbished, making this attraction even more worthwhile. Unfortunately the track isn't very long, so if you'd like a longer ride, go for Baron 1898.
This dive coaster is also beautifully themed and definitely worth squeezing into your day at the park.

Food and drink
On a day out, it's important to keep up with your food and drink. Prefer to eat at a restaurant? Then choose Polles Keuken. Here you'll find a variety of pancakes in a themed setting.
For dinner, Pinokkio’s Restaurant is the place to be. This is where you can enjoy a delicious Italian dish.
Rather grab a quick bite? There are plenty of stalls where you can pick something up fast.
