Queue times at theme parks
When you visit a theme park, it's unavoidable: waiting. Waiting for your favourite ride, waiting for your food and, at the end of the day, perhaps even waiting to get your car out of the car park. In short, there's no escaping it. But how can you use this time as efficiently as possible? We've listed the options for you.
Plan your day
Queuing to board your favourite ride? Then start thinking about what you want to do next. Do you fancy getting something to eat or grabbing a tasty snack, or are you heading straight for another ride? Make a plan while you wait, so you can carry on straight away after the ride.

Food and drink
While you're queuing, it's a great time to enjoy something to eat and drink. Take the time to have lunch in the queue or grab a tasty snack.
For example, pick up a delicious Eigenheymer before you join the queue to enjoy while you wait. Whether you've brought food with you or go and get something first, either works.
Discover the ride's story
If you're at Disneyland Paris or Efteling, for example, most rides are themed. Think of Baron 1898 or Pirates of the Caribbean. Use your waiting time to discover the story behind the rides. Pay close attention to all the details and you might spot something you've never noticed before.
Take photos
Many themed queues make the perfect backdrop for photos. Because the queue keeps moving, you'll constantly have a new backdrop for a picture.
Take the queue for the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril rollercoaster, for example. Along the sides of the queue, various scenes have been set up that you can photograph from the line while you wait.
