Go on an adventure at Heide Park Resort!
Heide Park Resort is a large theme park in Soltau, Lower Saxony, with plenty of roller coasters and themed areas for the whole family. The park lies right by the A7 and is a great destination if you love speed or are heading out with young children.
Attractions
The park calls its biggest attractions the Big 7, such as the wooden roller coaster Colossos, the dive coaster Krake, the Wing Coaster Flug der Dämonen and the 71-metre drop tower Scream. Desert Race, with its launch start, is also one of them. The themed areas include Bucht der Piraten, Transsilvanien and Land der Vergessenen. For the youngest visitors there are Peppa Pig Land and Drachenzähmen - Die Insel.
Food and drink
There are plenty of places to eat in the park, from Piraten Burger and Pizza Scream to the Flammkuchen Factory and the family restaurant Wirtshaus des Admirals with its buffet. For a snack in between, you'll find Lucky Churros and the Heide Park Grill, serving Thuringian sausage from the lava grill, among others. Many restaurants also offer vegetarian or plant-based options.

Meet Ohnezahn the dragon
On Drachenzähmen - Die Insel you can meet Ohnezahn (Toothless) from the How to Train Your Dragon films. You can take a free photo with your own phone, and there are rides for little adventurers.
Use the Heide Park app
The app shows current waiting times and show times, and you always have the park map with you. After opening, it's best to head to the back of the park first, as the queues there are often shorter.
Stay at the Abenteuerhotel
The hotel is right next to the park and guests have their own entrance. You sleep in themed rooms based on pirates, Peppa Pig or Ohnezahn.
Entertainment
The show ensemble performs four shows in rotating order, such as the artistic show Time and the magic show Smilie, it's magic. New is the interactive show Aye Aye Käpt'n for children aged 3 to 8, in which they can earn a pirate diploma. You can also take a photo with Ohnezahn the dragon or the Ghostbusters.
Practical information
Heide Park Resort is in Soltau, Lower Saxony, and you drive there via the A7, taking the Soltau-Ost exit. You can also take the train to Soltau or Wolterdingen, or the Heide Park Express bus from Hamburg or Hanover. Tickets are sold online only, and you can stay overnight at the Abenteuerhotel or the Holiday Camp on the park grounds. Check the opening calendar before your visit.
