Plopsaland Deutschland is a family theme park in Haßloch in the Palatinate with more than 60 rides and shows. The park combines roller coasters and water rides with children's worlds themed around well-known characters such as Maya the Bee, Wickie and the Smurfs.
Attractions
Plopsaland Deutschland has more than 60 rides and shows for the whole family. The biggest roller coaster is bigFM Expedition GeForce, and one of the newer rides is 100% Wolf, a family coaster based on the film of the same name. For water fun there's DinoSplash (a rafting adventure past dinosaurs) and Wickie Splash, where you slide down in a barrel. Children will feel right at home in Majaland and in Die Schlümpfe Abenteuer, an indoor themed ride through the world of the Smurfs.
Food and drink
At the Pfalzgraf restaurant you can enjoy German dishes on a terrace with an Italian atmosphere. In Majaland you'll find Maja-Burger, where you eat burgers among the sunflowers, and in Wickieland there are chips and a döner box. Other options include an Alpen Grill and the Dunkin' Parkcafé.

Ride Expedition GeForce
bigFM Expedition GeForce reaches 120 kilometres per hour and is 55 metres tall. This is the park's big roller coaster for adrenaline seekers.
Majaland for the little ones
Majaland is the children's area with twelve rides. Together with Plopsa Indoor and Die Schlümpfe Abenteuer, it's also open in winter when the rest of the park is closed.
Plan your water rides
You can get wet on DinoSplash and Wickie Splash. On a warm day, bring dry clothes for the children.
Entertainment
Maya the Bee has her own show (Der Ball der Bienenkönigin), and there are meet & greets with characters including Maya, Wickie and Halvar, Heidi and Peter, and Blinky Bill. The Smurfs also have their own show. In autumn there's the Plopsa Herbstfest and the Halloween Fright Nights, and in summer there are the RPR1 Summer Nights.
Practical information
Plopsaland Deutschland is in Haßloch in the Palatinate, close to Ludwigshafen and Mannheim, on the A65 and B9. By train, travel to Haßloch station, from where a shuttle bus runs to the park during the season. You can buy tickets online via the park's website. You can stay overnight at partner hotels in places such as Speyer and Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The park isn't fully open all year round, so check the opening calendar before you go.
