Step into another century at Puy du Fou España!
Puy du Fou España isn't an ordinary theme park but a park with large historical shows and villages from different centuries. It's near Toledo, 45 minutes to an hour's drive from Madrid. The park suits families and history lovers.
Attractions
Puy du Fou España is all about shows rather than rollercoasters. In El Tambor de la Libertad you relive the Spanish War of Independence, and A Pluma y Espada is about duels and intrigue surrounding Lope de Vega. At Cetrería de Reyes birds of prey fly over the stands, and Allende la Mar Océana is an immersive show about Columbus. In between, you stroll through villages such as La Puebla Real, El Arrabal and El Askar Andalusí.
Food and drink
In the villages you eat in themed taverns and grill restaurants: from burgers and hot dogs to pizzas and Arabic dishes. For a special meal there are restaurants with a show, such as El Bodegón del Capitán and El Salón Califal. There are also spots for ice cream and sweets, and there are vegetarian and gluten-free options.

The evening spectacular lasts around 70 minutes and, according to the park, shows more than 1,500 years of history with 200 actors. Plan your day so you can stay until the end.
Use the official app
In the app you'll find the show schedule and the map, and there's simultaneous translation. Every day at 5.30pm the schedule for the following day also appears.
Dine in a restaurant with a show
At El Bodegón del Capitán and El Salón Califal you get a show with your meal. Book in advance, as these restaurants work with reservations.
Entertainment
The shows are the main reason to come. During the day you can see shows such as A Pluma y Espada and Cetrería de Reyes, and in the evening El Sueño de Toledo follows. Craftspeople work in the villages, and around Christmas there's a special programme.
Practical information
Puy du Fou España is on the outskirts of Toledo in Spain and you reach it via the CM-40 (exit 13). From Madrid you can take a return bus to the park, and Toledo station is about ten minutes' drive away. You buy tickets online. There's no park hotel, but the website offers an overview of hotels and apartments in Toledo and a ticket-plus-hotel package. Check the opening calendar beforehand.
