Privacy Statement

Last updated: 21 October 2026

In this privacy statement you can read which data PretParkGids processes when you visit our websites, why we do so, which cookies are used and what rights you have. It applies to pretparkgids.nl and to the translated versions on themeparkguide.com, .de, .es, .fr and .it.

You can change your cookie choice or withdraw your consent at any time via Privacy and cookie settings, which you'll also find at the bottom of every page.

Who are we?

PretParkGids / ThemeParkGuide (Chamber of Commerce number 88765881) is responsible for processing your data on these websites. Questions about privacy? Email info@pretparkgids.nl or use the form on the contact page.

What data do we process, and why?

When you fill in a form

Through the contact form and the request form for a company outing, we receive the details you enter yourself, such as your name, email address and message. We only use them to answer your question or handle your request. Your message is stored in our management system and forwarded to us by email. To reduce spam, we briefly store an encrypted code of your IP address, from which your IP address cannot be recovered. We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your question, and for no more than two years.

Statistics (Google Analytics)

Google Analytics shows us how the site is used: which pages are viewed, on what kind of device and from which country. This helps us improve the site. If you visit us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, this only happens if you give your consent. Data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

PretParkGids is free to read thanks to advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to show and measure ads. You only see personalised ads if you consent to them. Without consent, Google only shows non-personalised or limited ads. You can see who these partners are and what they use your data for in the window under Privacy and cookie settings. Google explains more at policies.google.com.

Some links to ticket shops and hotels are affiliate links, for example via TradeTracker or Tradedoubler. If you click one, that party records on its own website, using a cookie, that you came via us. If you book something, we receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We don't receive any personal data about you in the process; the cookies of those parties are covered by their own privacy policies. More about this in our disclaimer.

Videos (YouTube)

A number of pages feature videos from our YouTube channel. We load these via YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so YouTube doesn't place cookies to track you. When a video plays, YouTube may still store data on your device, for example to make the video run smoothly. Google's privacy policy applies to this.

Hosting and technology

The websites run on Vercel. With every visit, the server processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser, to display and secure the site. These server logs are kept briefly. Our database and images are stored in Frankfurt (EU). Email from the forms is sent via Resend. We also keep track of which non-existent addresses are requested, without any data about you, so we can fix broken links.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website places on your device. We don't place any cookies ourselves to track you. The cookies on this site mainly come from Google:

  • Your consent choice (for example FCCDCF and FCNEC, Google): remembers the choice you made in the cookie window. Retention period up to 13 months. Always required.
  • Statistics (_ga and _ga_…, Google Analytics): recognises returning visitors for visitor statistics. Retention period up to 2 years. Only with your consent.
  • Advertising (for example __gads, __gpi, __eoi and IDE, Google and partners): show and measure ads and prevent fraud. Retention period up to 13 months. Personalised ads only with your consent.
  • Functional (our own cookies): only when you log in to the admin area or view a preview. Regular visitors don't get them.

You can change your choice at any time via Privacy and cookie settings. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

Who do we share data with?

We don't sell your data. We only use parties that are needed for the website: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email) and Google (statistics, advertising, YouTube and the cookie window). Some of these parties are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Beyond that, we only share data if the law requires us to.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, have its processing restricted, object, and have your data transferred. You can withdraw consent you've given at any time. To do so, email info@pretparkgids.nl; we'll respond within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority) or the data protection authority in your own country.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The websites use a secure connection (https), and only our own team has access to the admin area, each with a personal account.

Changes

We update this statement when our website or the rules change. At the top you can see when this last happened.
