Our tips:

Disney Newport Bay Club

Disney Newport Bay Club sits on the shore of Lake Disney and is built in the style of an elegant seaside hotel on the New England coast, complete with a lighthouse. The hotel has a fresh, nautical theme and is within walking distance of the parks. Here you can read what to expect.

Location

Newport Bay Club is on Lake Disney, about a 15-minute walk from Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World. Along the way, you stroll beside the lake and through Disney Village.

Would you rather not walk? Then take the free shuttle bus to the parks.

Rooms and suites

The hotel has more than 1,000 rooms and 13 suites in a fresh, nautical style of blue and white. A standard room sleeps up to four people; there are also family rooms for six.

Want more comfort? Then choose the Compass Club on the top floors, with its own reception, a lounge and a more extensive breakfast.

Let someone take care of your luggage

Use the luggage service when you arrive and depart. That way you can head straight into the parks without dragging your suitcases along and make the most of your time.

Extra Magic Hours

As a hotel guest, you can enter the park early during Extra Magic Hours (usually from 8.30 to 9.30am). Some of the attractions are already open then: ideal for riding them before the crowds arrive.

Meet Disney characters

Disney characters regularly visit the hotel. It's a great chance to take photos without queuing for ages in the parks. Ask at reception for times and locations.

Facilities

At the Nantucket Pool & Health Club you'll find both an indoor and an outdoor pool, so you can swim whatever the season. In summer, the outdoor pool by the lake is a wonderful spot to unwind after a day in the parks.

There are play areas and activities for children, and in the Bay Boutique you'll find souvenirs and handy essentials.

Food and drink

Newport Bay Club has two restaurants. At Cape Cod you can choose from an extensive buffet, ideal after a day in the parks. Yacht Club is a table-service restaurant with fish, seafood and grilled dishes on the menu.

At Captain’s Quarters you can round off the day with a drink. It's best to book ahead, especially during busy periods.
