Disneyland Railroad

The Disneyland Railroad is the steam train that runs around Disneyland Park. Ever since the park opened in 1992, the trains with their historic locomotives and carriages have been chugging along the outer edge of the park. You can board at four stations: Main Street, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland.

The concept

The trains are modelled on American steam trains from around 1900, just like the train Walt Disney himself loved running in his garden. The main station is at the start of Main Street, U.S.A., right by the park entrance.

The Experience

During the round trip you pass the various themed lands, travel through tunnels and see scenery you can't spot from the footpaths, such as the Grand Canyon diorama near Frontierland. The full round trip takes about twenty minutes. You can get off at any station and hop back on later.

Use the train to get around

With four stations, the train is a handy way to rest your legs for a while and travel to the other side of the park.

Do the full round trip

Stay on board for the full round trip of about twenty minutes. Along the way you'll see parts of the park you can't see on foot.

Sit on the right side

Want the best views? Then choose a seat on the inside of the train, on the park side.
