Speed at Efteling
Looking for adrenaline and speed during your visit to Efteling? In this article we take you along the park's fastest roller coasters. Climb aboard and hold on tight, here we go!
Baron 1898
Top of the list is the park's fastest roller coaster, Baron 1898. This coaster reaches a speed of 90 km/h. The most spectacular moment of the ride is, of course, the drop. Just before you plunge down, you hang motionless for a few seconds. Whatever you do, don't forget to enjoy the view. The mine shaft tower can be seen from far across the park and is a real eye-catcher.
Do you dare?

Python
In second place on this list is Python, the oldest roller coaster in the park. Well, sort of. Python originally opened in 1981, but it was renovated in 2018.
Python reaches a top speed of 85 km/h and runs smoothly along the track. During the ride you go through two loops and two corkscrews. So if you love going upside down, this coaster is definitely for you.
Joris en de Draak
Joris en de Draak is a wooden racing coaster, found in Ruigrijk. This wooden coaster may not be the fastest on the list, but it certainly feels like it. As you race, you feel the competition with the other train, which makes every ride exciting and unpredictable
The cars race along the track at 75 km per hour. Will you beat the Dragon? Win a thousand and one ducats!

Vogel Rok
Of course, Vogel Rok can't be left off this list. This roller coaster in the dark takes you past birds and even a snake!
The on-board music also rounds off the ride perfectly. At a speed of 65 km per hour you fly through the bends, but when they come is a surprise. Because in the dark you never know when the next bend is coming
