Flying Carpets Over Agrabah

Flying Carpets Over Agrabah (Les Tapis Volants in French) is a family attraction in World Premiere Plaza in Disney Adventure World. You climb aboard a flying carpet and soar in circles around the enormous lamp of the Genie from the Disney film Aladdin.

The concept

The Genie is directing his own film and you're in it: on your flying carpet you spin around his golden lamp, with the city of Agrabah in the background. Since reopening on 9 November 2024, the attraction has been set in a revamped, colourful setting full of details from Aladdin.

The Experience

You use a lever to steer your carpet up and down, while the passenger in the back tilts the carpet forwards or backwards. That way you can make the ride as gentle or as wild as you like. The ride is short and especially fun for families with children.

Steer your own carpet

A lever lets you decide how high you fly, and whoever sits in the back can tilt the carpet forwards and backwards. So agree on who does what!

Early or late in the day

The queue mainly builds up around midday. Go early in the day or later in the afternoon for the shortest wait.

Look at the scenery

Since the 2024 renovation you fly in front of a large, colourful backdrop of Agrabah. Keep a close eye out during the ride for all the details from Aladdin.

Visitor information

Flying Carpets Over Agrabah is suitable for visitors of all ages; young children ride with an adult. The attraction is not part of Disney Premier Access. On busy days the queue can get long, as capacity is limited.

A magical flight

Flying Carpets Over Agrabah is a classic carousel with a fresh new look. For young Aladdin fans in particular, sitting on a flying carpet themselves is a real treat.
