The first holiday park at the Efteling!
Efteling Bosrijk is the first Efteling holiday park. You enter it through Het Poorthuys. Het Poorthuys is a hotel located in Holiday Park Bosrijk, which opened in 2009. In the Poorthuys you'll find all sorts of facilities, including reception, Het Eethuys where you can enjoy a lovely dinner, Kleyn Waerenhuys, a small souvenir shop, and various family hotel rooms. But the most important facility, and one you really shouldn't miss, is the Badhuys, a beautiful swimming pool themed as the workshop of the sandman Klaas Vaak. Bosrijk has 5 different types of accommodation:
Boshuys
Boshuys (104 units): detached cottage sleeping six or eight people. Fully equipped with every convenience, such as a shower and bath, a full kitchen and an internet connection. Special water, VIP, accessible and hypoallergenic cottages are available.
Dorpshuys
Dorpshuys (64 units): terraced cottage on the central village square and in two separate hamlets. Otherwise comparable to the Boshuys. No special variants.
Poorthuys family room
Poorthuys family room (24 units): four-person hotel room located in the central Poorthuys, which houses all the facilities and is closest to the Efteling park. Special accessible rooms are available.
Landhuys family room
Landhuys family room (54 units): like the Poorthuys room, but located on the edge of Bosrijk, so quieter but also further from the facilities. Shared communal living room. Special VIP and hypoallergenic variants are available.
Boshoeve
Boshoeve (20 units): These homes are grouped in pairs in a farmhouse-style building. They can be rented separately for twelve people, and some can also be combined for 24 people.
Good to know: 8 days before arrival you'll receive an email to activate your digital key. This digital key is linked to the free Efteling app. On arrival, you can use the digital key on your phone to check in at 16:00 without having to go to reception. That means you can visit the park from 10:00 to 16:00 and enter your accommodation from 16:00. You can then make use of the holiday park's facilities straight away. On the day of departure you need to leave your accommodation by 10:30 at the latest so the cleaners can prepare the cottage for the next guests, but of course you can still visit the Efteling park on that last day! Bosrijk has a transport system that simply takes you to the Efteling, so you don't have to walk! The 'Dotto train' carries you from Bosrijk to the park's main entrance – ideal! And after a full day in the park, you can have your souvenirs taken to Bosrijk with the free Souvenir Express, so you don't have to carry them around all day.
