Villa Volta

‘This house, this cursed house’ – that’s how the first pre-show of Villa Volta begins. This attraction tells the story of the Bokkenrijders around the 18th century. Villa Volta is a ‘madhouse’. You get the illusion that you’re turning upside down, while in reality that doesn’t happen at all. The walls around the bench rotate head over heels while you simply swing back and forth.

How does Villa Volta work?

Discover one of Efteling’s best-kept secrets: the technology behind Villa Volta. In this video, together with Villa Volta expert Marwin, I reveal the most fascinating details about Villa Volta, including the answer to the question everyone is curious about: how does Villa Volta work?

Practical information:

Villa Volta has a special queue for guests with disabilities, which you’ll find next to the entrance. Unable to enter the attraction on your own? Then unfortunately you can’t ride, but there is a special room where you can watch a video about the attraction. That way you still get a taste of it!

Have fun!
