Set off prepared

When you head out for a day trip, you want to be well prepared. But apart from your wallet and perhaps your phone, what should you really not forget to bring on your theme park visit? In this blog we tell you everything you mustn't forget for your day out.

Power bank

When you go to a theme park, it's handy to set off with a fully charged phone. That way you can use your phone for your entry tickets, paying in shops or restaurants, taking photos, or checking the waiting times for your favourite attractions.

So bring a charged power bank with you. If your phone's battery runs out from all that use, you won't be left without power.

Food and drink

You often do a lot of walking in a theme park. So make sure you also have enough food and drink with you. Didn't bring enough after all? Or would you rather eat something in the park? There are plenty of restaurants and food stalls to choose from.

Whatever you do, make sure you have a bottle of water with you. That way you'll avoid getting dehydrated from all the walking or the warm weather.

Glasses/Sunglasses

It's nice to be able to see everything clearly, of course, but on some roller coasters it's not wise to keep your (sun)glasses on. So bring a glasses case, so you can store your glasses safely without them getting damaged.

If you wear contact lenses, it's handy to bring a small bottle of lens solution. You never know whether your lenses will suddenly feel dry after an attraction or whether something will get into your eyes.

Tip! Sometimes there's a place near the attraction to leave your belongings, such as at Baron 1898 in Efteling. There are lockers here where you can easily store your glasses and phone.

Bag

It goes without saying that you'll bring a bag, but what kind of bag is the most practical? A backpack is the most efficient. It holds the most and is easy to carry around.

If you'd rather have a smaller bag, a bum bag is your best bet. These often have handy compartments to store everything in. They're also easier to take with you on attractions.

Whichever bag you choose, make sure it isn't too big. After all, you'll be carrying it around all day, so make sure it doesn't become a nuisance. If it does, you can often leave it at the cloakroom.
